Volunteers riding the railroad.

Are you interested in helping out the railroad and carousel ensuring its continued success for generations to come? If so, volunteering at Billy Jones Wildcat Railroad may be for you.

Volunteers are the life-blood of this organization. They make up nearly three-quarters of our entire staff and are responsible for a number of elements that keep both the train and carousel running.

Some of our volunteer jobs include engineering the locomotives, performing maintenance and mechanical work on our equipment, grounds-keeping, building work and track maintenance. Some of our other volunteers also assist with special events and act as docents for groups wishing to tour the railroad and carousel facilities.

Don’t have any of those skills? Don’t worry! There are many ways to get involved at the railroad. It is a great way to be involved and provide a service to the community.

Persons interested in volunteering should contact the railroad at (408) 395-7433, or send us an e-mail to info@bjwrr.org.
